12:08 | Lima, Jul. 25.

Peru will reach the bicentennial (2021) having added more drinking-water projects, schools, police stations and other great public works, President-elect Pedro Pablo Kuczynski announced.

In contrast to the Centenary, when the country experienced economic boom, the ruling party has set a goal towards 2021. It is based on allowing projects to pose significant impact on the population, he said.

As Peru's new President, Kuczynski has committed to visiting regions and engaging in dialogue with residents, with the aim of listening carefully to people and supervising projects implementation.

Although the next administration will find a deficit rate between 2.5%-3%, it does not mean the nation is on the verge of economic hardship, he assured.

It must be noted Kuczynski along with his Ministerial Cabinet will take office on July 28th for a five-year period.
