Jose Miguel Gamarra appointed Peru's deputy tourism minister

Jose Miguel Gamarra Skeels has been appointed Peru's new deputy tourism minister, replacing Claudia Cornejo, said the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur).

Gamarra previously held this post from 1997-2001, before being appointed executive director of economic promotion at Peru's Foreign Affairs Ministry from 2002-2003.

Most recently, he has been president of the Peruvian Association of Adventure Tourism, Ecotourism Specialist (APTAE).

According to Mincetur, Gamarra graduated from the Portuguese Catholic University and holds a master's degree in human resources management from the Barcelona University.
