Get to know world-class players for friendlies against Peru

The Peruvian Soccer Federation (FPF) has confirmed Croatia, Iceland, Scotland, and Sweden as the national team's opponents for the friendly matches prior to the 2018 World Cup.

The abovementioned squads feature world-class players who will give exceptional performances on the field.

Almost all will participate in soccer's most important tournament seeking to become the event's surprise. So, it will not be an easy task for the Inca team.

Scotland 

Scotland will face the red-white team on May 29 at Lima's National Stadium. This will mark the national team's last match in Peru. 

Although Scotland did not qualify for the World Cup, its team has a notable fullback, Andrew Robertson, who defends Liverpool F.C. 

Another important player in the Scottish side is Celtic FC forward Scott Brown.  

Other outstanding Scottish athletes are Norwich City FC forward Steven Naismith, and Stoke City FC midfielder Darren Fletcher.

Sweden 

Besides Scotland, another tough match for the national team will be against Sweden—scheduled for June 9 in Stockholm.

The Swedish squad features athletes such as Manchester United FC defender Victor Lindelöf.

Other top players on this team are RB Leipzig winger Emil Forsberg, as well as Al-Ain FC forward Marcus Berg, and Toulouse FC striker Ola Toivonen.

The other two matches that were previously confirmed are fixtures against Croatia —on March 23, Miami— and Iceland —on March 27, Harrinson, NJ. 

The Croatian squad has Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic as a top player. He scored two goals at the 2014 World Cup. 

Its second-most-important athlete is Luka Modric, one of Spanish Real Madrid's masterminds.

Other outstanding Croatian players include Barcelona's Ivan Rakitic and Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic.
