Peru’s First Vice-President Martin Vizcarra said he is optimistic about a good relationship between the Executive and Legislative powers, and that both branches of Government will do their best to coordinate efforts in favor of the population.
After attending a meeting with President-elect Pedro Pablo Kuczynski and some Cabinet members, Vizcarra noted that such coordination will allow both branches to reach the people through projects and works.
He thinks Fuerza Popular party will not be an obstructionist opposition, given that Fujimori’s party spokespersons have said so.
The government official is also confident the Congress — dominated by Fujimori's Fuerza Popular— will give Zavala’s Cabinet the vote of confidence it sought, once the Government’s guidelines are announced.
