Expo Café Villa Rica fair will showcase more than 20 high-quality coffee varieties at Lima's Municipal Theater on August 24-27.

Most of those beans won several awards at the 3rd International Contest of Coffees Roasted in their Countries of Origin AVPA – Paris 2017.

90% of Villa Rica district-based families harvest a variety —winner of several medals— under social responsibility guidelines and the best growing practices; that is, without any pesticides.

As is known, Villa Rica coffee is ecologically cultivated in the Biosphere Reserve of Oxapampa-Ashaninka-Yanesha (Pasco region).

In addition, every process stage is meticulously supervised by growers in order to improve both, quality and productivity.

It must be noted 90% of Villa Rica coffee is exported to Germany, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium and the United States given its great quality, aroma and flavor.

Event

At the coming event, certified baristas will teach visitors how to properly grind, roast and filter beans. Likewise, they will address the organic products' properties.

Other derivatives —such as coffee liqueur, coffee spread, coffee desserts and coffee bread, among other products— will also be presented at the meeting.

Expo Café Villa Rica will also feature traditional dances and other activities.

It must be noted Peru's Coffee Day is celebrated every forth Friday of August.
