Peruvian Diego Elias won in his first appearance at the British Junior Open Squash Championships in Sheffield, England, recording a 3-0 (11-6, 11-2, 11-1) victory over Czech Vojtech Babista in the Under-19 category.

This year Elias headed to the Sheffield in order to redeem himself after last year's second place finish losing only one match, the finals.

After that, he won the Scottish Junior Open and the 2014 WSF World Junior Squash Championships, the most important event in junior squash.

These achievements have made him the first ranked squash player in the world of this age group and a benchmark in the American continent.

The Peruvian top seed’ main rival in the British Junior Open will be Egypt’s Omar El Atmas, the tournament's second favorite.
