Well-known tourism site Tripadvisor included Peru's southern city of Cusco among its World's Top 25 Destinations for 2017.
Ranked 25th, the Imperial City stands out for its beauty, which amazes visitors, as well as its wonderful archeology.
"Incan majesty and Andean baroque exist side-by-side in Cusco's stone streets, epitomized by the Qoriacancha Palace and the church of Santo Domingo flanking the Plaza de Armas," Tripadvisor stressed.
"In this high-altitude melting pot of Amerindian and mestizo culture, you'll find extraordinary textiles, lively summer festivals and archeological wonders," it added.
The list is topped by Bali (Indonesia), followed by London (United Kingdom), Paris (France), Rome (Italy) and New York (USA).
