Vice president of Corinthians, Jorge Kalil, reaffirmed the club's interest in the contract renewal of Peruvian forward Paolo Guerrero.
"Paolo is, undoubtedly, an idol for us. He is much loved in Corinthians, even more than in Peru. He is really important for the club. We expect to define a common amount together. We think he will resume his career with us", he told.
Kalil arrived in Buenos Aires with ‘Timao’ to play against San Lorenzo and to compete in the Copa Libertadores tournament.
He recognized the fan-support offered to Guerrero and specified the time frame they desire to retain him.
"We are sad, but worried about his contract renewal. The fans and the Board of Directors of the club like Paolo. He has scored important goals. We want him to stay at least for three years."
