Chancellor Gonzalo Gutiérrez Reinel was authorized by the Executive Power to travel to Costa Rica to participate in the III Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
The resolution also indicates this participation will enable the Peruvian government to strengthen the existing bonds between Latin American and Caribbean States and to motivate an agenda of cooperation, by aiming at enhancing common positions regarding the work principles defined in the Action Plan of CELAC 2014.
This proposal aspires to take a close look at many topics, such as: The post 2015 development agenda, climate change, south-south cooperation, nuclear disarmament, food security and family farming.
The resolution indicates that during the absence of the Chancellor, the Foreign Affairs Office will be assumed by Diana Álvarez-Calderón.
The resolution has been signed by President Ollanta Humala, the president of Council of Ministers Ana Jara and the Foreign Affairs Minister Gonzalo Gutiérrez.
