President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski underlined joint efforts undertaken by his nation Peru and Ecuador to push the development of their common border, regardless of changes in their government administrations.

At the 11th Peru-Ecuador Binational Cabinet held on Friday in Peruvian city of Trujillo, the hosting country's Head of State noted both nations share concerns about deforestation in Amazon areas.

The meeting addressed topics regarding the development of water basins, and new access routes to the Amazon with the purpose of strengthening integration between both peoples.

Likewise, Mr. Kuczynski pointed out his administration focuses on a social revolution aimed at providing good education to children and teenagers, as well as greater opportunities to all Peruvians.

Said revolution also implies providing drinking water services to all Peruvian families.

This year's Binational Cabinet edition covers five main thematic axes: (i) Social and Cultural Affairs; (ii) Production and Trade; (iii) Energy, Mining and Environmental Issues; (iv) Infrastructure and Connectivity; as well as (v) Security and Defense.

It must be noted Binational Cabinet sessions constitute a mechanism for political dialogue between two nations with the purpose of working on specific issues of common concern included in the bilateral agenda.
