Around 250 local, foreign journalists to cover presidential debate in Peru

About 250 journalists from Peru and overseas have been accredited to cover the April 3 debate that will feature the 10 candidates running for president as they gather in Lima.

Men and women of the press will represent different means of communication such as: broadcasting, journals, news agencies and web portals.

Accreditation was given to reporters, camerapersons, news writers, photographers, assistants and technicians, so that they can move freely outside and inside the venue.

The debate will take place at the Lima Convention Center auditorium at 19:00 hours (local time).

12 boxes have been set up for television broadcast purposes, so that channels can transmit live from the venue.

Candidates have been arranged in pairs to confront their ideas and proposals with one another.

Confirmed debate pairs include Peruanos por el Kambio-Partido Politico Orden, Frente Esperanza-Alianza Popular, and Fuerza Popular-Progresando Peru.
