In this sense, the country's Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) invited traditional eateries, restaurants and pastry shops to participate in the event.
Thus, foodies will be able to enjoy dishes: chupe de camarones (shrimp chowder), rocoto relleno (stuffed roasted red pepper) and queso helado (typical milk ice-cream), among others.
In addition, attendees will be able to taste more than 20 varieties of bread made with local ingredients.
Dishes will cost between S/7 (around US$2.15) and S/15 (around US$4.61).
Peru, Mucho Gusto
Peru Mucho Gusto's 13th edition is expected to welcome at least 30,000 domestic and foreign tourists. Chilean travelers will account for 15% of total visitors on the occasion.
The mentioned feast will be organized by PromPeru in partnership with Tacna Provincial Municipality.
Established in 2006, Peru, Mucho Gusto is part of PromPeru's strategy to boost Peruvian gastronomy at national and international levels.
The 12 previous editions were hosted by regions Cusco, Tacna, Ica, Ayacucho, San Martin, Tumbes and Piura.
