A delegation of All-China Journalists Association (ACJA) visited State-run Editora Peru media outlet facilities on Friday to share experiences, discuss cooperation in journalism and strengthen bonds of friendship.

Established in 1937, ACJA is the largest and most influential journalism association comprising representatives of all media outlets in China.

Headed by ACJA Vice-President Hu Xiaohan, the delegation was welcomed by Editora Peru Editor-in-Chief Ricardo Montero and General Manager Rolando Vizarraga, who commented on journalists' work at El Peruano official gazette and Andina news agency.

"ACJA also works as a bridge to connect the party, the government and the media to provide a critical, but responsible, communicative tool for the population. Journalists must show respect for the truth, as well as build societies instead of destroying them," Hu Xiaohan underlined.

The meeting addressed the strong interest in boosting a smooth flow of information between the two nations.

The Chinese delegation was composed of Liu Lianxiang, Executive Board member of the International Department at Xinhua News Agency; and Jiang Lu, Producer at China Radio International Spanish Department.

Other members included Shanghai United Media Group Vice-President Liu Ke; Guangdong Provincial Journalists Association Vice-President Li Baoheng; and Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Peru Zhu Xiaoyan; among others.
