The fatal air disaster that killed all the members of prominent football team Alianza Lima in 1987 has been made into a movie that will be released to the public late this year.

Its name, “F-27”, refers to the Peruvian Navy Fokker F27-400M chartered by the said Peruvian football club, which plunged into the Pacific Ocean a few miles short of its destination.

The movie, which hits Peruvian theatres on December 4, will feature performances from established actors including, among others, Hernan Romero, Karina Jordán, Óscar Lopez Arias and Franco Cabrera.

Tonight, a second trailer will be shown on the National Stadium's screen a few minutes ahead of the Alianza Lima-Universitario derby kickoff.

Alvaro de Albertis and Willy Combe have successfully teamed up to retell the story of Los Potrillos, Alianza's footballing strength at the time.
