At least 48 people have been killed after a bus crash in a hard-to-reach area in Pasamayo, about 75 kilometers north of capital city, Lima.
Operated by San Martin de Porres company, the bus was carrying 55 passengers.
A truck hit the back of the vehicle before landing on a beach below Panamericana Norte Highway.
The accident took place on a stretch of the road known as Curva del Diablo (Devil's Bend).
In addition to those dead, the car accident has left 6 injured so far.
