Lima, Jun. 11 (ANDINA).- Premium cafes are becoming more demanded by Peruvian citizens since their increased purchasing power is changing their lifestyle. The average amount spent in these cafes is 22 soles (7.50 dollars) per person, said on Thursday the general manager of Argentine Havanna café, Alan Aurich.
"Premium cafes used to receive more tourists; nowadays, these places are becoming more and more frequented by locals, who want to try different and high quality products," he said.
The attendance varies widely depending on the time, but these places are almost always full.
Peru Food Service, Peruvian partner of the Argentine firm, today inaugurated its third Havanna Café in Lima, which is located at Larcomar shopping center in the district of Miraflores, it required an investment of 200,000 dollars.
This new restaurant joins the other two opened in the districts of San Isidro and Surco (Jockey Plaza shopping center).
"In San Isidro, 75 percent of our regular customers are heavy during breakfast hours, two to four times per week; while in Jockey Plaza, customers come over the weekend," Aurich said.
