Lima, Jun. 24 (ANDINA).- Pluspetrol, leader of Camisea Consortium, reported Wednesday that the investment in Camisea natural gas project does not stop and will amount to US$ 3.01 billion in 2013.
“Investments for Camisea project have always been dynamic, they never stopped, that is why we believe they will reach over US$ 3.01 billion from 2001 to 2013,” Pluspetrol Executive Manager Roberto Ramallo said.
He pointed out that from 2001 to 2004; the consortium invested US$ 870 million in the development of San Martin field, located in Block 88, in order to reach a production capacity of 440 million cubic feet per day.
From 2004 to 2008, they invested US$ 872 million in developing seismic, borehole, pipeline construction and extension works in Pagoreni field, located in Block 56 of Camisea.
He added that from 2006 to 2012, Puspetrol plans to invest US$ 874 million in the development of Cashiriari field, located in Block 88, which will begin to produce at the end of 2009.
“These investments represent full confidence that in subsoil of Blocks 56 and 88, there are natural gas reserves,” he added.
