Lima, Jul. 21 (ANDINA).- Peruvian singer Brenda Mau was the second place winner of Operacion Triunfo 2009, reality-show talent contest aired on Spain, after facing the other two finalists Jon and Mario at the grand final.
The first place was occupied by Mario Alvarez, who will be awarded a record deal with Vale Music and Sony.
During her first appearance at the final show, Mau interpreted the song ‘Teach me tonight’ by Dinah Washington. The jury praised her performance and said she makes the difficult look easy. The show was broadcast live on the Internet.
Brenda's relatives met in Lima to see her performance.
