 19:32 Peru: García asks for confidence to investors despite world crisis
 
Lima, Oct. 31 (ANDINA). Peru’s president Alan García asked businessmen and all sectors to have confidence in the country as well as to continue investing despite the international financial crisis that affects world markets.

During the closing ceremony of the 46th Annual Conference of Executives – CADE 2008, the Peruvian president urged entrepreneurs to carry on with their projects because Peru will not fall into recession.

“As head of State I ask you for your confidence and to keep calm; you must not think that Peru will fall into recession, anything could happen but there is not way that Peru falls into recession in 2009 or 2011. You can continue your projects, investments, dismiss fears”, he stated.

García said that that the current crisis “is one more crisis”, but he pointed out that the world counts on “great resources” to overcome it and to continue with development.
