  • Chincha, Jun. 07 (ANDINA).- As part of its 5-star Casa Andina Private Collection Chincha project, Casa Andina Hotels has started remodeling the Hacienda San Jose in the coastal province of Chincha in southern Peru, reported the company's general manager Juan Stoessel.

Casa Andina Hotels has commenced its five-star hotel project after receiving all required permits and approval from the National Institute of Culture (INC).

According to Stoessel, the permit issuance process took some time because the infrastructure of the Hacienda San Jose, considered one of the most important monuments on the Peruvian coast, was severily damaged by the 2007 earthquake.

Juan Stoessel added that the remodeling works could last between 8 and 9 months; and after this stage, the company will begin with the hotel decoration.

This project includes 69 rooms and 11 suites and a convention center for 600 people in a 12-hectare area. It also includes 10 hectares of gardens, 2 bars, a restaurant, spa & gym facilities, 2 swimming pools, among other services.

The Hacienda San Jose is located on the way to Paracas and Nazca, 203 kilometers south of Lima, in the district of El Carmen, province of Chincha.
