Lima, Apr. 14 (ANDINA). Latin American Consensus Forecast raised its expectations on Peru’s GDP growth to five percent this year and 5.1 percent in 2011. With this results, Peru will have the second highest growth rate in the region for both years.
These estimates are higher than earlier projections of 4.9 and 4.8 percent for 2010 and 2011, respectively.
Latin American Consensus Forecast is a consulting firm that compiles projections of the main domestic and foreign specialists and bankers of investment.
For its part, Latin Focus Consensus Forecast said economic activity in Peru is back on track, returning to the good economic performance achieved in the last decade.
It added that this increased activity comes amid an improvement in economic conditions and when business confidence is at its highest level since May 2008.
