Lima, Apr. 19 (ANDINA). Members of famous rock band B-52's, who will arrive soon in Peru to perform their first ever concert in Lima, are highly interested in enjoying Peruvian food, music and festivals.
"We are very excited about this first visit and we hope that our fans are happy too. The essence of the band is feast and celebration, we will have a great time after so many years of waiting," said Kate Pierson.
Pierson said that The B-52's are ready to repeat in Lima incredible celebrations during shows in Argentina and Brazil.
"Fans gave us a warm welcome in both countries. We had an incredible party and we witnessed that Latinos are great dancers. There was a lot of energy and good vibe, we felt it all the time, and we had a wonderful time onstage," she said.
B-52's members are aware that their fans are thinking of giving them a bottle of pisco with their name on the label.
"What a great detail of the people, we want to try it (pisco). A few days ago, a Peruvian journalist told us this and we were surprised to receive such a nice gesture, they promised to invite us to try Peruvian pisco and that's what we are going to do when arriving to Lima," she said in a telephone conference.
Finally, she added that they expect to have an album from Peruvian band “Los Protones”, a group that will also perform in this concert.
