Lima, May. 12 (ANDINA).- A valuable funerary bundle of a 14 to 16 year-old person was recently discovered at the archaeological site of Torontoy, located in the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu (Cusco), reported the National Institute of Culture (INC).
The discovery was made on sector B peripheral platform by the professional and technical team of the INC Cusco, when they were doing restoration works and archaeological research.
The funerary bundle was found forty centimeters below the ground.
The INC-Cusco professionals said that, according to the work of archaeological research, the bundle was found at a hole big enough to place the person.
INC Cusco director Jorge Zegarra Balcázar, said 23 million soles are being invested in seven restoration and research works, in different archaelogical sites in the Machu Picchu Sanctuary.
