Lima, Feb. 01 (ANDINA). A group of specialists is working in the restoration of one of the 600 years old perimetrical walls that protect the Nik-An collection, which belongs to the Chan Chan archaeological complex in the northern Peruvian city of Trujillo, La Libertad region.
Cristobal Campana, head of the Unidad Ejecutora 110, in charge of the restoration and preservation of the citadel, said that the works will be finished in 90 days.
He mentioned that scaffoldings were installed in the area to execute the works without damaging the adobe structures, the same that are 10 meters tall.
With this work the restoration of all the perimeter of the Nik-An collection conformed by four big walls will be finished, he remarked.
The investment for the restoration works reaches the 1.573.000 soles and the works are being done by 136 people among archeologists, engineers, restorers and workers.
