Lima, Jul. 04 (ANDINA). As same as last year, delegations of Peruvians who reside in United States will be received on July 24 at the White House to celebrate Peru’s 187th anniversary of Independence
The meeting will strengthen bonds between Peru and United States, which nowadays are associated by a Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
The select group of Peruvians, headed by Peru’s ambassador to United States, Philip Ortiz de Zevallos and representatives of the Peruvian American National Council (PANC) will gather with federal authorities and seniors of the White House in a ceremony where attendances will sing Peru and United States national anthems. Peru’s economic growth levels, its solid democracy and the progress reached by the Peruvians who reside in the United States, compose the framework for a celebration that took place last year at the White House, which was considered to be an historical event for the Peruvian people who live in the North American country.
