According to Adex, export volume increased due to sales of minerals, especially copper, which turned Germany into the seventh destination market of Peruvian products in the January and March period 2012.
Exports of raw material reached US$ 396.2 million, up 99 percent compared to same period in 2011.
Moreover, exports of traditional products rose 190 percent to US$ 32.5 million driven by increased sales of coffee.
Peru's traditional mining and fisheries exports climbed 94 and 96 percent, respectively.
Main exporters to Germany were Cormin, Compañía Minera Antamina, Minera Suyamarca, Glencore Perú, Gold Fields La Cima,Tecnológica de Alimentos (TASA), Austral Group, among others.
