Lima, Apr. 03 (ANDINA).- An expedition organized by Bagua Chamber of Tourism (Cadetur), in the department of Amazonas, discovered a pre-Inca archaeological site called Lluvihuasi, located in Bombom Hill, district of La Peca.
Representative of Cadetur Edy Estrada Rivera said that this place, discovered last Sunday after almost four hours travel from Nueva Florida farmhouse, comprises several stone walls.
He pointed out that due to rainfall, at the beginning they only could see weeds, but guide Felipe Montenegro and companions, used machetes to blaze a trail and discovered first wall.
Stone structures have crescent shaped of 2 to 3 meters length and 1.50 to 2 meters height. Estrada added that this discovery may belong to Bagua culture.
They discovered other walls at the foot of the hill, of embankment shape, with a similar structure of Llactan site. At the end, they found 10 walls inside weeds and natural grass.
“Many walls are destroyed by rain and natural grass distorted some of them,” he told Andina News Agency.
