Trujillo, Jun. 30 (ANDINA).- The Trujillo province, northern part of the country, has been scenario of over 400 artistic-cultural shows so far this year,100 more regarding 2008, reported the municipal sub-manager of Education and Culture, David Calderon de los Rios.
He remarked that cultural events have been descentralized through theatre plays, dances and music in locations like La Esperanza, Florencia de Mora, El Porvenir, Victor Larco, that involve more citizens.
“Once a month we carry out this kind of decentralization of the culture that is gaining more space taking the best of the art from Trujillo to the districts,” he said.
A series of important shows are expected to be carried out in the next months. The most outstanding ones are one brought from India and another from Korea.
Likewise, he referred that there will be a five day concert in the municipal theater, leaded by the Peruvian singer Gianmarco, who will raise funds for a benefit campaign to help children with poliomyelitis.
The budget for this year cultural events totals 600,000 soles and is expected to double to improve the quality and importance of the artistic and cultural activities.
