Peru seeks deeper trade integration with Chile, Colombia, Mexico
Lima, Mar. 08 (ANDINA). Peru will monitor the progress toward the goal of achieving deeper trade integration with Chile, Colombia, and Mexico at a Deputy Trade Ministers meeting in Mexico city this week, according to a resolution issued by Peru's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur).

Mincetur reports that Mexico's Under-Secretariat of Foreign Affairs invited Peru's export and tourism agency Promperu to attend the vice-ministerial meeting ‘Intergacion Profunda - Mexico’ (Deep Integration - Mexico) to take place on March 10.
This gathering aims to review he deep integration initiatives between Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru by evaluating proposals on trade in goods and services, trade facilitation, micro and small enterprises joint promotional programs, among others.
Mincetur authorized Promperu’s representative Alvaro Galvez to attend such an event aimed at facilitating integration among countries, and promoting Peruvian exports and regional trade.
In October last year, Peruvian President Alan Garcia proposed Chile, Colombia Ecuador and Panama to enhance "deep integration” and thus ensure free movement of goods, services, capitals and people.
