Hydrocarbon explorations to total US$ 1.2 billion next year

Lima, Dec. 11 (ANDINA).- Perupetro´s chairman, Daniel Saba, reported Thursday that hydrocarbon explorations will total 1.2 billion dollars next year, according to companies' plans.
He said despite the adverse international context, mining companies haven't expressed any intention to stop their projects in the country.
Petrobras general manager, Pedro Grijalba, stated the company continues with its plans so that in May 2009 it will start the perforation of the first well in the Block 58, close to Camisea.
He also said French Perenco continues works to start exploitation of Block 67, Loreto, next year, and start producing between 30,000 and 40,000 barrels a day in June 2011.
