Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea travels to Beijing, where he will hold a meeting with the Vice-President of the People's Republic of China, Han Zheng, on Sunday, April 28 (according to Peruvian time); that is, Monday, April 29, in China.

Likewise, the Peruvian Cabinet member will meet with Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, and other senior authorities of the Asian country.

The meetings will address various topics on the bilateral agenda, such as preparations for the high-level visits planned for this year and for the celebration of the XII Meeting of the Peru-China Political Consultation Mechanism.

The official visit by Minister Gonzalez-Olaechea will strengthen, at the highest level, the bilateral relationship between the Republic of Peru and the People's Republic of China in the political-diplomatic, economic-commercial, cultural, and cooperation spheres, with a view to deepening and invigorating the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established in 2013.

It is important to highlight that, since 2014, China has become Peru's top trading partner and one of the main investors.
