Peru: Tickets for Inti Raymi 2024 on sale now

The Municipal Company for Celebrations and Tourism Promotion of Cusco (Emufec), through the Teleticket virtual platform, put tickets on sale for the representation of Inti Raymi or "Festival of the Sun" on Monday, March 18.

Ana Cecilia Ure, head of Emufec, confirmed that 3,750 seats will be available at the esplanade of Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park and 350 at the Inca temple of Qoricancha.

Moreover, she underscored that costs will return to pre-pandemic levels. 

According to Ure, orange, red, and green seats will be available at Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park, which will cost S/662 (about US$179), S/625 soles (about US$169), and S/440 (about US$119), respectively.

Both orange and red tickets for children and tour guides will be 50% off, while green seat tickets for national tourists, children and tour guides will be 50% off.

Meanwhile, 350 seats will be available at the Qoricancha esplanade and tickets will cost S/140 (about US$38).

The representation of the most important ritual of the Inca era takes place in three venues. 

It begins at Qoricancha at 9:00 a.m. An hour later, the performance is resumed at Cusco's Mains Square, where admission is free. Finally, the Inti Raymi culminates at the Sacsayhuaman fortress.

The ceremony was reconfirmed last weekend, after the worldwide announcement made by authorities and officials from the Municipality of Cusco and Emufec at the Maurice A. Ferré Park in Miami, United States.
