Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Thursday affirmed his administration will continue working for all Peruvians. Plus, he reiterated his commitment to bringing drinking water to every corner of the nation.
"We are going to work all over Peru," he said from San Martin region's capital of Moyobamba, where he opened the Carhuaquero–Cajamarca Norte–Caclic–Moyobamba power transmission line.
"I'm committed to you. We are going to supply water for all Peruvians, clean water 24/7. We just need electricity for the pumps for doing so. That explains this nice project that starts at Carhuaquero [plant] in Cajamarca," he stated.
"I remember I opened that hydropower plant 38 years ago, when I was minister of energy and mines. Time goes by, but I'm still here. We are going to move forward, working for all Peruvians," he added.
Noting water is vital for good health, he said this resource can be found all over the Amazon, except at homes. So, he insisted on the need to keep working to provide water to the population.
Mr. Kuczynski assured his administration is aimed at promoting construction and improvement of airports, for example in Oxapampa, Tingo Maria, Huanuco and Moyobamba.
"But we need a plan first, a [feasibility] study," he pointed out.
