As part of FTA promotion activities, Peruvian Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Eduardo Ferreyros presented a wide array of business opportunities available in the Inca nation during an event in Sydney.

As is known, both countries signed a Free Trade Agreement earlier this week following months of successful negotiations.

The government official showcased Peruvian products, gastronomy, and tourist attractions as part of a meeting with 60 Australian investors, as well as importers of cacao, chocolate, frozen avocado, and fresh asparagus.

"The free trade agreement allows Peru to get closer to one of the most important markets in the Asia-Pacific region, one whose inhabitants have major purchasing power," Minister Ferreyros affirmed.

"I am confident this agreement will open up big opportunities for us," he pointed out.

Once it enters into force, the FTA will eliminate most tariffs (over 96%) between both countries.
