President Kuczynski's wife Nancy Lange handed out furniture, clothing, footwear, water tanks, kitchen supplies, and gifts to education centers in Peru's northeastern Nauta province.

The donation was given to Primary School No. 60527 and Elementary School No. 491, with 44 and 15 students, respectively.

These students come from low-income families and are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classrooms, due to the lack of suitable furniture and drinking water

The latter held a Chocolatada —a Peruvian custom of giving hot chocolate, sweet bread and gifts to underprivileged children before Christmas.

This is the second time Nancy Lange visits the aforesaid schools since June 2016, when she saw their needs first-hand.

At that time, Mrs. Lange pledged to come back with help —a promise she fulfilled by distributing the support given by different institutions.

During her visit to both schools, she was joined by Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Representative Moroni Torres, Buckner Peru General Director Claudia Leon, and Devida Representative Karen Sotomayor.

Also present was Loreto Region Governor Fernando Melendez.
