Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Thursday said his Government is working to improve the quality and celerity of care received at hospitals across the country.
"We are working on it all over Peru. There is much to do," the statesman said as he remarked people require health centers that provide better care.
These remarks were made prior to his trip to Peru's northern San Martin region, where the President is due to open the Carhuaquero–Cajamarca Norte–Caclic–Moyobamba power transmission line and supervise medical care at Hospital II-2 in
Tarapoto city.
The Head of State will visit the
Moyobamba-based Fernando Belaunde Terry Electric Substation to launch the 220 kV Carhuaquero–Cajamarca Norte–Caclic–Moyobamba transmission line and, by doing so, improve electrical connection in the region.
Later, he and his delegation will embark for Tarapoto to visit Hospital II-2 in order to guarantee that correct care is given to patients at outpatient settings, emergency departments, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, among other areas.
While in there, he will speak to patients, Ms. Alina in particular —whose baby was saved at said center.
This is one of the country's largest hospitals with 18,000 square meters. It treats more than 4,000 patients a year and benefits nearly 300,000 citizens.
