Attorney General's Office expands investigation against Peru's President and Oscorima

The Attorney General's Office, through the Illicit Enrichment and Constitutional Complaints Section, has ordered the extension of the investigation into the President of the Republic Dina Boluarte and Ayacucho Region Governor Wilfredo Oscorima.

Regarding the prosecutorial case against Boluarte over the crimes of illicit enrichment and failure to record statements in documents, it was decided to extend the preliminary investigations to include the Head of State over events related to the alleged commission of the crime of improper passive bribery.

Likewise, it was decided to extend the preliminary investigations to include Wilfredo Oscorima Nuñez over the events linked to the alleged commission of the crime of generic active bribery.


On March 18, the Attorney General's Office reported that it had decided to initiate a preliminary investigation against the Head of State over the alleged commission of the crime of illicit enrichment and the failure to record a statement in documents in relation to media reports on the use of Rolex watches.
