12:06 President Humala attended farewell ceremony for team to compete in Olympics
 
Lima, Jul. 16 (ANDINA). Peru's President Ollanta Humala attended today a farewell ceremony for the Peruvian delegation that will represent Peru in the 2012 Olympic Games in London and wished them success.

"I asked you to come with medals fairly," said Humala who added that Peruvians will be waiting for the results of their participation.

The ceremony took place at 12:00 hours in the Courtyard of Honor of the Government Palace, according to the Press Secretary of the Peruvian Presidency.

The Peruvian team will compete in athletics, swimming, taekwondo, judo, rowing, weight lifting, sailing, shooting and badminton.
