Linares stressed that the entering into force of the free trade agreement between Peru and Panama on May 1 is one of the necessary steps to join the trade bloc, which includes Chile, Colombia, Peru and Mexico.
"We have the best intentions of joining the Pacific Alliance by the end of 2013 as our President, Ricardo Martinelli has said in a videoconference."
He added that Panama should first finish the signing process of trade agreements with member countries of the Pacific Alliance in order to enter the trade bloc.
