Organized by various Peruvian cultural associations in Spain, this festival aims to pay tribute to one of Peru's richest historical tradition.

Attendees will also enjoy a colorful parade of folkloric dances and appreciate the traditional dishes and drinks of Peruvian cuisine, organizers said.

The event is being promoted by a number of cultural associations, including Todo es Arte (Everything is Art), Danzantes de Tijeras (Scissors Dancers) and Institución Tunantera de Peruanos en España (Peruvian Tuna Band in Spain).

The festival will begin at noon at the Spanish Federation of Immigrants in the Madrid district of Puente Vallecas.

The Inti Raymi in Cusco, one of the largest and most colorful festivals in Latin America, takes place every 24th of June at the Sacsayhuaman fortress, overlooking the Andean city of Cusco.
