13:35 Ecuador defense minister pays official visit to Peru
 
Lima, Jun. 22 (ANDINA). Ecuador's Defense Minister Miguel Carvajal Aguirre will meet his Peruvian counterpart Jose Urquizo Maggia Friday to discuss bilateral issues related to national defense and security.

Carvajal is visiting Peru with a delegation of his Ministry's senior officials and Armed Forces officers.

The visiting minister was welcomed this morning by Minister Urquizo at the Army headquarters in the Lima district of San Borja.
