He stressed that this is the most important work executed in the region over the past 60 years as it also support the development of the departments of Pasco, Huanuco and Ucayali.

The highway will link the towns of Cañete, Huaura, Sayan, Churín, Oyon, in Lima; Yanahuanca in Pasco; Ambo, in Huanuco; Pucallpa, in Ucayali, and Cruzeiro Do Sul, in Brazil.

"This important economic corridor road has increased electricity demand in the region attracting foreign companies such as Phoenix Power, which has decided to settle in the area and provide service to the population and industries," he said.

Alvarado said that on Thursday May 3 the city of Huacho in Lima will host a forum named "Economic Opportunities of the economic corridor Cañete-Huaura-Sayan-Churín-Oyon-Yanahuanca-Ambo-Pucallpa-Cruzeiro Do Sul".
