Ferrero underlined the importance of this event as it is a forum for political dialogue between Arab and South American countries, as well as a mechanism for cooperation in several fields.
He said it is a summit of political leaders and an opportunity for business people to meet with their peers. "Some 400 Arab and South American entrepreneurs will come and that means investment opportunities for Peru."
Moreover, he stated that the ASPA Summit will allow both regions to take a common stand on global issues such as, environment, fight against drug-trafficking and corruption.
In the economic arena, he said there will be concrete results as it is an opportunity to increase Peruvian exports to Arab countries and vice versa.
ASPA is a forum for policy coordination among 34 countries, 12 South Americans and 22 Arab countries, with the support of both the League of Arab States (LAS) and the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR).
The 3rd ASPA CEO summit will also be held parallel to the event.
