The head of the reserve, Stive Marthans Castillo said that 21,000 more tourists visited Paracas compared to the same period in 2011 (62,000 people).
Marthans explained that 70 percent of visitors were domestic tourists from Lima and Ica, while foreigners came from the United States, Europe and Asia.
In addition, he stated that most of foreign tourists visited this natural resource on tour packages.
"They made trips to explore the flora and fauna that inhabit the reserve, the fifth most important tourist destination in the country," Marthans told Andina.
